Hey Mobster,
I'm Shay. I've been doing hair for eight years, and I've installed more laces than I could ever count.
I built The Pretty Mob UK because I got tired of buying products that didn't work together. A glue from one brand, a spray from another, a remover that stripped edges. Nothing spoke to anything else, and my clients paid for that in lifted hairlines.
So I made the system I wanted to work with.
Prep, glue, melt, remove. Four steps, formulated to hand over to each other, tested on real heads in a real chair before they ever reached a shelf.
Everything here is held to the same standard I hold my own work to. If it isn't good enough for my chair, it doesn't get my name on it.

There Was the Craft
Eight years as a hairstylist, building a name on precision, consistency and an obsession with flawless results. Hair was never just hair. It is the way a woman carries herself before she says a word.
That is how I became known - first as Laid By Shay, and later as Shay Wig Master.
That name was earned. Years of real clients, real pressure and standards I refused to lower. The work took me beyond where I started, including doing hair in America for clients who expected excellence every single time.

The Journey

Nothing here was handed to me. I funded this brand myself, from the chair.
Seven clients a day for over a year, saving every pound to launch it properly rather than cheaply. That is why the formulas took as long as they took, and why nothing shipped before it was right.
No investors
No marketing team
No paid promotions
No shortcuts
Just the vision and the decision to keep building.
Workshops, stalls, Paris, rooms I knew The Pretty Mob UK deserved to be in. Founder, creator, strategist, packer, problem solver. I have done every job in this business, which is why I know exactly how every part of it should run.
This was not built like a corporate project. It was built by someone who still does the work.
The Vision
Why a System, Not Random Products
I created this brand because I knew women deserved better than random products that did not make sense together, did not perform properly, and left them confused when all they wanted was a clean melt, strong hold, and a finish they could trust.
So I built something better.

Our products are designed to work together with intention, so each step supports the next. Everything has a purpose. Everything has a place. The goal was always to create a routine that feels clear, performs beautifully, and delivers the kind of result I would personally put my name on.
The Standard
What Shay Will Not Compromise On
- It has to hold. Not on day one. On day fourteen, in real weather, on a real head.
- It has to come off safely. Anyone can make something stick. Protecting the hairline on the way out is the harder job.
- It has to be undetectable. Clear drying, no white cast, on every skin tone.
- It has to make sense with the rest. No product joins the range unless it improves the step before it and the step after it.
That is the whole test. If a formula fails one of those, it does not launch, however good the packaging looks.
